Android phones have built-in features to save mobile data and battery usage. These features interfere with background running apps like JustPing. For JustPing to work properly, please check your and your family's phone settings:

• GPS location service and mobile data are turned on
• DO NOT turn on Data Saver
• DO NOT turn on Battery Saving mode

• In a bad reception area.
• The phone is in Sleep/Doze Mode due to being idle for more than an hour without being touched or moved. This is an Android function out of our control.

For JustPing app to work properly, both need to be enabled. Data Saver prevents background running apps to use mobile data. Battery saving mode turns off GPS location service. When a phone is in Sleep/Doze Mode, background running apps like JustPing are allowed to run only periodically and briefly. The GPS location service and mobile data also become unreliable.
